Mrs. Barbara Zobal died at her home Tuesday morning following a four months’ illness. The deceased was born in Bohemia, Feb. 4, 1822, where she spent the early years of her life. In 1846 she was united in marriage to Mathias Zobal. In 1869 they came to this country, settling at Pittsburg, Pa. After a few months’ residence there they moved to this county, settling near Jackson Junction. For the past twenty years they have been residents of this city. To Mr. and Mrs. Zobal were born five children. Those surviving are Joseph and Mrs. Chas. Pavlovec of this place and Mrs. Albert Houdek of Lidgerwood, N. D. Mrs. Zobal was a kind and loving mother and highly respected by all who knew her. The funeral was held Thursday from the St. John’s church, Rev. Father Dragoun officiating. The interment was made in the Catholic cemetery. The pall bearers were Jos. Necas, John Wandas, Fred and Mat Houdek, John Pelikan and Jas. Pavlovec.
