Those out of town who attended the funeral of Grandma Taylor last Friday were Mrs. Will Frye and daughter Margaret, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mikesh of Protivin, Mr. and Mrs. James Mikesh of Protivin, Mr. and Mrs. Pecinovsky and Mr. and Mrs. Korbel of Conover.

At the St. Wenceslaus church Friday morning at 10 o’clock a. m. occurred the funeral of Grandma Taylor, who died Tuesday, March 12, 1902. She died at the home of her son Mike Taylor, death being due to old age, which was 92 years. She leaves to mourn her loss three sons, Joseph, John and Mike, who live near Spillville, and her daughters, Mrs. Mary Mikesh of this place and Mrs. Thomas Taylor of near town. May she rest in her sleep of death after the toils and cares of this world.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows Mike Taylor’s mother was Marie Krejcova. She was born Feb. 2, 1820 and died March 12, 1912, which agrees with the above.
