OBITUARY.

MRS. A. P. HOSKINS.
Early last Thursday morning, July 6, after an illness of ten years due to paralysis, Mrs. A. P. Hoskins passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. J. Hauswirth, where she has resided since the death of her husband on January 20, 1907.
Mary Rebecca Chase was born September 20, 1838, in Philadelphia, Pa., where she resided until April, 1855, when, with her parents, she came west to Madison, Wis. On September 14, 1856, she was married to Abraham P. Hoskins. They continued to reside in Madison until April, 1876, when they came to Decorah.
Of four children—two sons and two daughters—born to them, three died in infancy, leaving their daughter Edith as the only surviving member of their family. Mrs. Hoskins is also survived by one brother and one sister, Geo. C. Chase of Milwaukee and Mrs. Marian Gilbert of Madison.
In the days of her activity Mrs. Hoskins was one of the most regular attendants at the Congregational church, a woman known among her neighbors as a doer of kindnesses, a faithful and loving wife and mother.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at two o’clock at the Hauswirth home, Rev. M. Willett officiating, and interment was made in Phelps cemetery.
