On Thursday last, July 6, at an early hour, Mrs. Henry Masters passed away at her home in Canton, Minn., after a lingering illness from cancer. Mrs. Masters’ maiden name was Margaret Vosburgh. She was born at Johntown, N. Y., January 7, 1845, aged 66 years, 5 months and 29 days. On December 12, 1866, she was married to Henry Masters, and to this union seven children were born, five of them still living. They are Mrs. Chas. Mitson, Mrs. Lew Halse, Mrs. Abe Pierce, Frank and Guy, all of whom with the father, survive. Mrs. Masters was a great sufferer, though very patient. She will be greatly missed as she was a true friend and a loving wife and mother. Funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at two o’clock at the M. E. church at Canton and the remains were interred in the Burr Oak cemetery.
