Death of An Aged Lady.
Mrs. Ingeborg Casperson who has been a resident of Decorah and vicinity for nearly thirty-one years, died Sunday last from the infirmities of old age at her home on Julian avenue. Mrs. Casperson was born near Bergen, Norway, January 11, 1828, where she resided until 1880, when she came to America, following her husband who came in 1870. Their marriage occurred in Bergen, some years prior to their coming to this country. One daughter was born to them, but she died five years ago in Norway. Mrs. Casperson enjoyed the friendships of a number of acquaintances, who knew her as a woman of kind heart and good deeds. Her only relative in Decorah is Miss Anna Thune, who cared for her during her last illness. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the First Lutheran church, Rev. I. B. Torrison officiating.
