OBITUARY.

Mate B. Pierce was born in Burr Oak township, Nov. 17, 1864{?}, and died at her home in Bluffton, Iowa, Feb. 12, 1911. On August 10, 1889, she was married to Wallace Taylor. To this union were born six children. Beside her husband and six children she leaves to mourn her loss two sisters and four brothers, and a host of friends. All except one sister were present at the funeral. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were held at the Bluffton church, Rev. Shepple of Burr Oak officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in the Bluffton Cemetery shows her year of birth as 1867.
