THE SILENT REAPER.

MRS. LAVINA McLAIN
Mrs. Lavina Bolger McLain of Canoe township, widow of the late William McLain, died Monday morning last from heart disease, leaving to mourn her loss four sons and one daughter. At the time of going to press we had been unable to secure any data regarding her life, but we know from the esteem in which she and her husband were always held that she will be missed by a large number of friends and acquaintances as well as by her children. She was married to Mr. McLain on Christmas day, 1860, and their home was in Canoe township during the intervening years. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon, Rev. Lemen officiating, and the remains were laid at rest beside those of her husband in the Canoe cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name spelled Lovina. She was born March 2, 1843 and died Dec. 4, 1910. She is buried in the Russell Cemetery.
