THE SILENT REAPER.

DAVID A. LEE.
After an illness of four months from Bright’s disease, David A. Lee died on Saturday last, December 2, at his home on east Main street. Mr. Lee was born in Borgund, Laerdal, Norway, September 28, 1850, and came to America in 1870. For a short time he made his home at Northfield, Minn., where he worked at his trade. Coming to Decorah he entered the employ of J. H. Mackenstadt, and remained with him until 1885, when he and his brother, Agrim A. Lee, formed the partnership which was terminated only a few weeks ago. Mr. Lee was married on June 6, 1881, to Marie Tobiason, and she with four children—Adolph, Emma, William and Luella, survive him. One child died in infancy. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, Rev. I. B. Torrison officiating, and the remains were interred in the Norwegian cemetery. During his long residence here Mr. Lee formed an extensive acquaintance, and many friends join in condolence to the family.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in the Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
