Robt. Simpson Dies Suddenly at Spokane.
Mrs. C. C. Bates received a telegram yesterday morning from her daughter, Mrs. Robert Simpson of Spokane, saying that Mr. Simpson had died Tuesday night. No other particulars were contained in the telegram and as the last letter Mrs. Bates had received from her daughter contained no reference to illness in the family it is inferred that Mr. Simpson’s death was sudden. Miss Mabel Bates left on the noon train yesterday for Spokane.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Jan. 25, 1855 and died June 21, 1910. He is buried in the Phelps Cemetery near C. C. Bates family gravestones.
