The funeral of Mrs. Martha Sharp Knox was held here Monday, Dec. 28, Rev. Mellott officiating. The deceased has been a great sufferer for some time with cancer. Kind hands did all they could for her during her illness until Dec. 25th, when God called her home.

Martha Sharp was born in Highland, West Virginia, Aug. 24, 1847. She came west with her parents in 1853 and has since lived near Burr Oak, Iowa. She was married to William Knox Sept. 12, 1884, and died Dec. 25, 1909, leaving besides her husband, three sisters and three brothers. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church, Monday, Rev. Mellott officiating. Interment in Burr Oak Cemetery.
We wish to thank all those who were so kind and assisted us in the sickness and death of our dear wife and sister.
