The remains of Miss Dehlia Coats{sp} who died at the home of her sister Mrs. Wm. Simmons of Spirit Lake, was brought here Wednesday for burial. Deceased who was about 45 years of age, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Coats and her early life was spent on the farm with her parents near Frankville. She studied for a nurse at a sanitarium at Battle Creek, Mich., and while there was sent with another lady to India, where she remained three years, when her health failing she returned to this country. An aged mother, three sisters, Mrs. Geo. Webster of Myron, Mrs. Will Simmons of Spirit Lake, her twin sister Amelia and one brother, Will of Oklahoma, are left to cherish her memory. The funeral services were held at Spirit Lake and interment was made in the village cemetery by the side of her father. Mr. and Mrs. Will Simmons, Miss Amelia Coats and Mrs. George Webster were present at the burial.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name spelled Adelia Coates. She was born Sept. 1, 1863 and died Dec. 12, 1909. She is buried in the Frankville Cemetery.
