Among those from away who attended the funeral last Saturday of Mrs. A. Shema were Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Shema, son and daughter, Miss Ethel of Decorah, Mrs. A. Fisher, Mrs. C. Grundeland Mr. and Mrs. G. Meyer, P. Meyer and Thos. Pierce of Calmar and Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Puffer of Fort Atkinson.

Word reached here last Thursday that Mrs. Andrew Shema, an old and well known resident of Spillville, died at Calmar where she removed a year ago to be near her daughter, Miss Mary. Her remains were brought here last Saturday at 10 o’clock for interment in the St. Wenceslaus cemetery. Her husband and one son and one daughter preceded her in death some years ago. Those left to mourn the loss of a loving mother are Miss Mary Shema of Calmar and Joseph Shema of Decorah.
