The remains of Mrs. Alice Clark were brought here last Saturday. The funeral ceremonies were held from the residence of Mrs. Mary A. Kramer, the Rev. Penn officiating. Interment at the Bloomfield cemetery. Mrs. Clark had been a great sufferer from that dread disease, cancer, for many months, and death was a great relief to the sufferer, as she was prepared and ready for the passing. Mrs. Clark was a very cheerful disposition and bore her great sufferings without a murmur. For many years Mrs. Clark was a resident of our town, and had many friends who sympathized with her in her affliction. The immediate friends have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their bereavement. The relatives to attend the funeral were son George, wife and son, sister Mrs. Mary A. Kramer, niece Mrs. Laura DuBois, Mrs. Nelson Gibbs, nephew A. W. Kramer, and W. S. Webster, Miss Ruby Webster and Roy Webster. Mrs. Clark passed away at the home of her son in Nashville, Tenn.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born April 29, 1846 and died Oct. 13, 1909.
