Friday morning there came a phone message to Mrs. Emmons from Westgate, that her grandmother, Mrs. Bane, had died this morning. Herb. Ward ran the Doctor’s auto to Decorah, that Mrs. Emmons might make the train. The Doctor went down Saturday to be in attendance at the funeral.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Anna who was born May 19, 1820 and died Sept. 24, 1909. She is buried in the Green Wood Cemetery in Westgate, IA.
