Mrs. Gurine Selnes, nee Grindeland, passed away on Thursday last at the hospital in LaCrosse, where she had gone to seek relief from a troublesome goiter. The remains were brought home on Friday and interment was made in the Highland church cemetery. She was at the time of her death 36 years, seven months and twenty-seven days, and leave to mourn her demise a beloved husband, two children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Knut Grindeland, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone shows the name spelled Selness. It also shows she was born December 13, 1872 and died August 10, 1909.
