THE SILENT REAPER.
Death Claims Several Old Residents During the Past Week.
MRS. O. N. NORGARD.
After an illness of eighteen months or more from tuberculosis, Mrs. Sarah Norgard passed away Saturday morning last, the 17th, at the family home on John street. Mrs. Norgard’s maiden name was Sarah Nordheim and she was born June 16, 1862, near Highlandville. On March 10, 1885, she was married to Ole N. Norgard, and soon after they came to Decorah to make their home. Beside her husband the deceased is survived by five children—Alfred, Edward, Lotta, Oscar and Stella. The funeral which was conducted by Rev. I. B. Torrison, occurred Tuesday afternoon, prayer at the house preceding public service at the 1st Lutheran church at two o’clock. Interment was made in the Norwegian cemetery. The sympathy of many friends is extended to the family in their bereavement.
