Those from a distance who attended the funeral of Mrs. Sorenson here Saturday were Hans and John Sorenson and Mrs. Paul Stee of Watertown, S. D., Mrs. John Stoskopf and Mrs. Otto Olson of Decorah and Mr. and Mrs. Jane Stortz of Clay Hill.

The funeral of Mrs. Sorenson, who died last Wednesday at the home of her son Sam Sorenson on Clay Hill was held in the M. E. church in this place Saturday morning, Rev. Schmidt officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Maren who was born March 8, 1823 and died July 10, 1909. She is buried in the Freeport Cemetery.
