H. A. Dessel of Ida Grove was here for the funeral of his mother, Mrs. Mary Dessel.

Chas. Meyer and daughter Merie came Saturday from Sioux City for the funeral of Mrs. Dessel.
- -
Mrs. Mary Dessel passed this life last Saturday morning at the age of 86 years. She has been a sufferer for the past ten weeks, and always having the kind and constant care of her children. The almighty Maker seemed allowed her to linger until the inexhaustible threads of life were extinct. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Monday morning.

Jos. Koch, J. D. Becker and wife, R. J. Becker, Hugo Dessel and wife and A. Koch of Calmer, Wm. Becker and Mrs. Garden of Fort Atkinson attended the funeral of Mrs. M. Dessel on Monday.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Maria who was born June 11, 1823 and died June 26, 1909. She is buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.
