Our community was shocked to hear the sad news of the death of Della, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Nockels, which occurred last Friday night. The little girl was a victim of diphtheria and her passing away was sudden. Della is kindly remembered by her schoolmates and little friends here, having lived here some time. Our heart felt sympathy goes to the afflicted parents.

Four cases of diphtheria have been quarantined in town, the Geo. Nockels, Broihier, Huinker and Busch families being affected. One death has resulted, little Della Nockels having passed away Friday.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born in 1898 and is buried in the St. Aloysius Cemetery.
