OBITUARIES.
Hulver Hulverson, who has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. W. C. Meyrick for several years, died Sunday evening, May 23d, at 8:30 o’clock, in his seventy-eighth year.
Mr. Hulverson was born Oct. 14, 1831, in Vang, Valders, Norway, where he grew to manhood. He came to American with his parents in 1853, and was among the pioneer settlers in Springfield township, where he continued to reside until about seven years ago when he moved to Decorah. His wife was Guro Christopher, and they were married March 26, 1855. She died twelve years ago. In the years of his activity the deceased was a hard working, industrious man. In religious faith he was a Lutheran. Four children survive him. They are Elias, Mrs. Ole Larson, Mrs. Meyrick and Miss Emma Hulverson, all of Decorah. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the house Rev. O. E. Schmidt officiating, and interment was made in the Norwegian cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows his name spelled Halvor Halvorson and that he was born Oct. 19, 1831. It shows he is buried in the Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
