THE SILENT REAPER.

MRS. CARL LARSON.
At the early hour of 12:15 o’clock Monday morning Laura Paulina Larson wife of Carl Larson, superintendent of the bindery department of the Lutheran Publishing House, passed away after a lingering illness from dropsy, complicated with heart failure. Mrs. Larson has been in failing health for the past eighteen months, but continued about her housewifely duties as long as she was able. During the past week she endured much pain and death came to her as a relief.
Mrs. Larson’s maiden name was Peterson. She was born April 28, 1841, in Christiania, Norway, where she lived until 1890, when she came to America to make her home. In 1891 she was married to Mr. Larson. Beside her husband she is survived by one son, the fruit of her first marriage, and a brother, both residing in Milwaukee, and a sister residing in St. Paul. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at two o’clock at the house, Rev. I. B. Torrison officiating. In accordance with her oft expressed wish the services were simple, and interment was made in the Norwegian cemetery.
In the death of his wife Mr. Larson has sympathy of many friends. She was a woman of ambition and energy, taking particular pleasure in her home and providing for those about her, deeming no task too great that added to their comfort.
