Mrs. Ferdinand Culmsee Dead.
On Saturday last at the family home in the fifth ward occurred the death of Mrs. Jensine Fredrikke Culmsee, wife of Ferdinand Culmsee, after an illness of a year. Mrs. Culmsee’s maiden name was Rasmussen and she was born in Denmark in 1835. Her marriage to Mr. Culmsee occurred in 1858. In 1872 they moved to Stavanger, Norway, where they continued to reside until they came to America about twenty years ago. Since that time they have made their home in Decorah. Beside her husband she is survived by three children—Dr. L. A. Culmsee of Norfolk, Neb., Mrs. Anne Colbertson of St. Ansgar and Dr. Carl F. Culmsee of Humiston, Iowa. The funeral was held yesterday morning, a short service at the house preceding the public service at the First Lutheran church. Rev. I. B. Torrison officiated, and the remains were interred in the Lutheran cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born Dec 26, 1835 and died Oct. 10, 1908. She is buried in the Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
