Funeral services for Edwin S. Aanas, 73, of Stockton, Minn. were held Thursday, Nov 9 at Steine Funeral Home with burial in Phelps Cemetery.

Mr. Aanas was a native of Ossian, had also lived in Waukon and for the past 25 years near Winona, Minn. He was born April 30, 1899 in rural Ossian, the son of Ole and Guri Aanas. He had attended rural Ossian schools and Luther College in Decorah and was a member of Stavanger Lutheran Church. He was married April 24, 1924 to a former Castalia woman, Lucile Cook.

Survivors include his wife and a sister, Mrs. Helen Olson, Los Angeles, Calif.

Pallbearers for Mr. Aanas were LaVerne Cook, Duane Cook, Merle Cook, Howard Olson, Oberlin Aanas and Orval Cook. Mrs. Otto Ruen was organist and accompanied the soloist, Mrs. W.D. Willer.

Pastor Alden H. Hovda conducted the services, and arrangements were made by Steine Funeral Home

Mr. Aanas died Novermber 6 at Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse.
