Miller, Theodore R. 1908 - 1972

A life-long Freeport resident, Theodore R. Miller, died December 18 at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital at the age of 64. He had been an employee of several Decorah firms, including Nelson Bros., pump and well drilling, the Cliff House, the Produce and Luther College.

Pastor Alden H. Hovda conducted services for Mr. Miller Thursday, Dec. 21 at Decorah Lutheran Church and burial in the Freeport Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marvin Youngblood, Norice Youngblood, Gordon MacMasters, Verl Borsheim, Roy Jagerson and Robert Brown. Mrs. Otto Ruen was organist and accompanied the congregation as they sang hymns. Arrangements were made by Steine Funeral Home.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, the former Palma Vick; a daughter, Mrs. August (Carolyn) Ryant of Hesper; one grandson; three brothers, Charley and Roy Miller of Freeport and Chauncey Miller of Centralia, Ill. and a sister, Mrs. Esther Ask, Frankville.

Theodore Miller was born April 21, 1908 in Freeport, the son of Henry and Ruby Miller. He attended Freeport schools and was married February 28, 1934 in Decorah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Fillmore Miller.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Decorah Lutheran Church.
