Calmar Pioneer Laid at Rest.
In the death of Andrew L. Kittlesby on Wednesday of last week, Calmar lost a resident who was in every sense an honor to the community in which he had so long resided. He was upright in all his dealings, a good citizen in the best sense of that expression, and as such lived a clean life. Mr. Kittlesby came to the United States in 1851 and made his home in Calmar township. He is survived by eight children. His wife died in 1892. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon last at 3 o’clock, Rev. Koren officiating.

On Wednesday, June 3, 1908 Andrew L. Kittlesby died at his home in Calmar at the age of 78 years, after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Kittlesby was one of the pioneer settlers, and during the greater part of his residence here he was actively interested in the affairs of his town and county. He leaves eight children to mourn his loss.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the first name as Anders. He was born Oct. 5, 1829 and died June 3, 1908. He is buried in the Calmar Lutheran Cemetery.
