Brought Home for Burial.
The remains of Mrs. Gustav O. Haugen were brought from Maddock, N. D., last Friday, for burial at the Lutheran cemetery in Springfield township. Only a year ago Mr. and Mrs. Haugen were here on their wedding journey, and the prospect before them was bright for a happy wedded life. Her death was a sad blow, not only to her husband, but to his parents as well, for they had received her into their home as one of their own daughters. The funeral was held Monday and was largely attended. Besides a number from surrounding territory, Carl Rauk wife and sister of Forest City, and Miss Rauk of Minneapolis came to attend the funeral. The sympathy of a host of friends will go out to Mr. Haugen in his bereavement. The cause of Mrs. Haugen’s death was quick consumption.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Caroline who was born April 28, 1878 and died June 2, 1908. She is buried in the Washington Prairie Lutheran Cemetery.
