The sad intelligence came to her people last Tuesday of the death of Miss Mary Hazelton, at El Paso Texas. A telegram was received on Sunday telling that she was sick with pneumonia. On Monday another one came stating that she was better but on Tuesday one was received announcing her death. She has been unable to stand this climate for several years, because of lung trouble, and has lately made her home at El Paso. The remains were brought here for burial and the funeral was held at the house Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Wyatt officiating. Miss Florence Hazelton, accompanied by Miss Wellman, came home for the funeral. Mrs. Albee, the deceased’s sister, and her husband of Faribault and Mrs. Parker of Fayette were also present.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born Nov. 24, 1868 and died May 20, 1908. She is buried in the Calmar City Cemetery.
