Last Wednesday night occurred the death of Frank Novak, mason. He was found dead lying in bed, as his wife went to wake him during a thunderstorm that night, so that no one can tell just when the summons came. He seemed to be feeling well upon retiring that evening. Heart failure is supposed to be the cause of his death. He was 76 years old. The funeral services took place in the church last Friday morning at 9 o’clock, and the remains were then interred in the Catholic cemetery. The pall bearers were Frank Cijka, M. Chlan, Simon Michal, Mike Remta, John Wemec and Frank Kulish.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Frantisek who was born March 22, 1834 and died May 13, 1908. He is buried in the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
