Mrs. John P. Hove, mother of Mrs. E. J. Helwig of this city, died Saturday last at her home in Calmar after a long illness. The funeral was held Tuesday. Mrs. Hove was one of the old and well known residents of Calmar.

Mrs. Hove, who has been sick for a long time, passed away at her home Saturday. Mrs. Helwig of Decorah came over Monday because of her death and Miss Sine Grinde of Cresco came also. The funeral was held in the Norwegian Lutheran church Tuesday.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Brita. She was born Jan. 8, 1832 and died March 14, 1908. She is buried in the Calmar Lutheran Cemetery
