Word reached here this morning announcing the death of Grandma Suchan

The funeral of the late Mrs. Katherine Suchan took place here last Friday morning at 10 o’clock in the St. Wenceslaus church. The remains had been brought here last Thursday afternoon from the home of her son Frank, living about ten miles west of here, where she died of old age. The deceased is survived by five daughters, two sons, many grandchildren and two great grandchildren, her husband having preceded her in death many years ago. The daughters are Mrs. Matthew Novak of Protivin, Mrs. Wenzel Novak, Mrs. J. J. Triska, Mrs. Kubik and Mrs. Jno. I. Klimesh, all of this place; the sons are Frank Suchan of Protivin and Anton Suchan of this place.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Katerina who was born March 26, 1835 and died January 28, 1908.
