On Monday, July 23, 1928, death claimed Mrs. Wilhelm Vebjornson of Madison township, at the age of eighty-seven years.
Helena Engen was born in Hakedalen, Norway, was a daughter of Hans and Gudbjor Engen. Over sixty years ago she came to America with her parents. A number of years later she was united in marriage to Wilhelm Vebjornson. For several years they resided on a farm in Glenwood township but for the past forty-five years their home has been in Madison township.
Besides her husband the deceased is survived by four sons and three daughters. They are Helmer and Albert of Chicago, Theodore, Mrs. Helen Berg and Mrs. Julius Pederson of near Decorah and Mrs. Emma B. Hellen of Milnor, N.D. She is also survived by a step son, Johan Jacobson of Kindred, N.D.
The funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1 p.m. from the home in Madison township and at 2 p.m. from the United Lutheran church, Rev. O. Glesne will officiate and burial will be made in the Norwegian Lutheran cemetery.
