Last Friday occurred the death of Mrs. Anna Moudry, the wife of Jos.{?} Moudry, residing several miles south of town. Two weeks ago last Sunday she attended the church services here for the last time, no one suspecting any sudden sickness. She was stricken with brain fever that same evening, and the doctor and a priest were summoned at once. Several times in the two weeks following she felt better, so that hopes of her recovery were entertained, when a sudden change for the worse took place shortly before her death. The remains were brought here for burial last Sunday at 2 p. m., but on account of absence of one of her children and other relatives who were on the way and failed to reach here in time, the burial was postposed until Monday at 10 o’clock a. m. The remains were left in the church in the meantime. The deceased left a husband, two daughters and two sons to mourn her untimely death.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born July 15, 1850 and died Oct. 24, 1907. Also it shows her husband was Jacob. She is buried in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
