OBITUARY.

George Nelson Bonestell was born in Green county, New York, March 11th, 1830, and died Oct. 30, 1906, at Royal, Neb. He leaves a wife and three children (two sons and a daughter) to mourn his loss. One daughter preceeded him to the spirit world. He was ever a kind and affectionate husband and father, and a good neighbor. He had been a great sufferer, being deaf for twelve years, and for six years blind, thereby shutting out practically all intercourse with the world. It has been his desire for some time that he might lay down the burden of life as soon as the Lord saw fit to relieve hm. The funeral was held from the Methodist church of Royal, Neb., Rev. E. B. Koontz officiating; burial at the Royal cemetery. Mr. Bonestell went to Royal from Decorah upwards of twenty years ago, after a residence here of several years. During the period when milling was at its most active stage, he was boss cooper for Ammon, Scott & Co., and afterwards was an active citizen in numerous occupation.s It is sad to those who knew him in his active years to learn that the last quarter of his life was one of deprivations and such serious discomforts as deafness and blindness necessarily entails.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows his year of death as 1907 which obviously is an error.
