Frank E. Huber, retired farmer of Calmar, died August 21 at his home at the age of 87. Mr. Huber had been employed as a bank clerk and also had farmed until his retirement in 1960.

Funeral services for Mr. Huber were held Monday, Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church in Calmar with burial in St. Johns Cemetery in Fort Atkinson. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. G.V. Steiert officiated. Pallbearers were Leo Funke, Decorah, Louis Funke, Cedar Rapids, Arthur Huber, Lawler, Conrad Huber, Burrr Oak, Roger Elsberud, Calmar, and Jene Smith of Fort Atkinson. Funeral arrangements were made by French Funeral Home.

Mr. Huber was born February 2, 1888 in Festina. He received a business education at Valders College, Decorah and was a veteran of World War I. He was married in Fort Atkinson to the former Rose Smith. His wife died October 26, 1972.

He also was preceded in death by his parents and a son, serving with the United States Navy, Paul Huber, who died after World War II.

Mr. Huber is survived by a daughter, Anita Huber, of Calmar; two brothers, Hugo A. Huber of Decorah and Anthony N. Huber of Calmar and a sister, Mrs. Leo (Linda) Funke, of Decorah.

Mr. Huber was a member of the Catholic Church.
