Mary Cassel was born in McHenry county, Ill., July 15, 1846, and came to Iowa in 1852. Married Stewart S. Wade Dec. 13, 1860. Three children were born to them, one son, James, and two daughters, Mrs. Ella Delay and Adella, who died when young. Mrs. Wade died Sept.1 2th, 1906, aged 6 years. She also leaves three brothers and two sisters and a large number of other relatives and friends. She was of a loving disposition and will be greatly missed in the home and neighborhood where she has lived for so many years, endearing herself to all.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in the Burr Oak Cemetery. Also, her husband’s name was spelled Stuart.
