Lesley L. Rosson,75, of 202 ½ West Main Street, Decorah, died September 6 at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City. A resident of Decorah for 20 years, Mr. Rosson and his wife moved here in 1953 where he was employed as a chef at the Winneshiek Hotel.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. David W. Ash at Steine Funeral Home Saturday, Sept. 8 with burial in Phelps Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Rodenkirk, John Kelly, Richard Holm, Leonard Carolan, Eugene Johnson and Floyd Sollien. Mrs. Otto Ruen was organist.

Lesley L. Rosson was born September 29, 1897 in Booneville, Mo., the son of Daniel and Laura Rosson. He attended the Bonneville Public Schools.

Before coming to Decorah, Mr. Rosson had been employed as a chef in Iowa Falls. He also had been a deputy sheriff and was a former policeman. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War I and was a member of the American Legion and the WWI Barracks.

Mr. Rosson was married February 8, 1949 to the former Marion Brush in Galena, Ill.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford Jacobson of LaCrosse, Wis. and a son, Robert E. Crawford also of LaCrosse. a brother, William R. Rosson of Columbia, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Rosson was a member of the Methodist Church in Harden County.
