Last Friday we became aware of the sad news of the death of little Myrtle Houge{?}. She had been taken to Dubuque about two weeks ago to have an operation performed for appendicitis, but being too weak to undergo the same, it was postponed for a few days during which time she passed away. The remains were brought to her home, and the funeral services were held at the M. E. church Sunday at 3 p. m., Rev. Smith officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows Myrtle Hauge buried in Hillside Cemetery who was born in 1893 and died in 1906.
