Edward F. Mann

Funeral services were held this morning for Edward F. Mann of Luana at the St. Francis de Sales Church at Ossian. The Rev. E. J. Frost officiated at the Requiem High Mass and at the grave side.

Edward F. Mann was born October 12, 1873 at Festina and passed away at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital at Dubuque, October 24 at 10:15 a.m.

He was married to Anna Wiltgen on February 4, 1896 and to this union seven children were born, all of whom survive: Mrs. Louise Ryberg of Detroit, Mrs. Fred Hallberg of Oakland, California, Mrs. Deryl Wilson, Mrs. Jack Ekstrum and Fred Mann of Peoria, Illinois, Mrs. Keith Gordon of Monona and Mrs. Ralph Bachtell of Postville. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

His entire married life was spent in the vicinity of Castalia with the exception of the last two years he lived in Luana.
