Last Rites For Randolph Dahl, 83, Held Here Friday

Funeral services for Randolph Dahl, 83, of Decorah were held Friday, Nov. 8 at First Lutheran Church. Mr. Dahl was buried Monday, Nov. 11 at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, Calif.
Before his retirement, Mr. Dahl had been associated with the Equitable Life Assurance Society of Minneapolis, Minn. where he was employed in the cashier's office. He moved to Decorah in 1956.
He died November 6 at the Decorah Retirement Center. Before he became a resident at the Retirement Center, he made his home with a daughter, Contance Dahl of Decorah.
The Rev. Paul Christenson conducted final rites. Pallbearers were Kenneth Bjerke, Dr. E.D. Farwell, W.O. Kalsow, Dr. J.W. Ylvisaker, Dr. O.W. Qualley, Dean Orwoll, Stephen Nordness and Peter Hoeger. Mrs. Wm. Kuhlman was organist and arrangements were made by Olson-Fjelstul Funeral Home.
Randolph Dahl was born May 26, 1891 in Gayville, S.D. He graduated from Park Region College in Fergus Falls, Minn. in 1915 and was married Nov. 25, 1920 in Sioux Falls, S.D. His wife died in 1959.
Mr. Dahl is survived by six children, Constance Dahl of Decorah; Elizabeth Hoeger, Sioux Falls, S.D., Leif Dahl, Denver, Colo., Joyce Fadness, Houston, Minn., Joan Nordness, Neenah, Wis. and Karen Anderson of Menomonee Falls, Wis. Other survivors are 16 grandchildren and two sisters, Margarethe Peterson, Mesa, Ariz. and Constance Tollefson, Seal Beach, Calif.
Mr. Dahl was a member of First Lutheran Church.
