Austin, George 1892 – 1895

A three-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Stein Austin, of this place, got his clothing on fire at the stove during the temporary absence of the mother one day last week. The screams of the little fellow attracted the mother, but she did not succeed in extinguishing the fire and before the father arrived the child was badly burned. It inhaled some of the flame and died the next day.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was George who was born Sept. 24, 1892 and died Oct. 9, 1895. He is buried in the Calmar Lutheran Cemetery.
