Work of the Great Reaper.
A telegram from Hoosick Falls, N. Y., last Sunday morning, conveyed the sad intelligence to Mr. and Mrs. James Bucknell that their son Elmer had died that morning at nine o’clock of fever. A letter received later adds but little information. Deceased had been in New York on a business trip and returned home sick. No serious result was apprehended until Saturday evening when he grew rapidly worse. That such a bright and promising young man should be thus called away when his life work had just begun is a great bereavement to his family and a sore disappointment to his friends. Up to a month ago he was employed by the Walter A. Wood company as civil engineer where he served with satisfaction to his employers and honor to himself. The position was one for which he was recommended in the heartiest manner by his instructors in the Troy Polytechnic Institute. He leaves a wife and two children. His father went east Monday evening last to attend the funeral which occurred to-day, the burial being made in Troy.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1868 and died June 9, 1895. He is buried in Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands, NY
