NORMAN H. WILLIAMS.
Intelligence was received last week of the death at Mitchell, S. D., of Norman H. Williams, one of the early residents of Decorah.
Mr. Williams was born Sept. 27th, 1820, at Gainsville. N. Y. He resided in the east until 1860 when he moved to Decorah. Before moving west he was married to Miss Anna Powell, who, with one son, Frank, survives him. Mr. Williams was a partner and stock buyer during the greater part of his life. A number of years ago he purchased land near Mitchell and most of his later years were spent there. His illness was one which extended over a number of months, and death claimed him on Tuesday, the 3d inst. The funeral services were hold Friday last and the remains were interred at Mitchell. Besides his family he leaves two brothers residing in the east, and one sister, Mrs. Zilpha Protheroe of this city.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell, SD. His gravestone shows he was born in 1823.
