MORTUARY.
Last Saturday morning at four o’clock John P. Finn, the only remaining son of postmaster Finn, died after an illness of several years from consumption, in his 33d year. Most of his life has been spent in Decorah. Some three years ago he returned home after an absence of several months and it was then noticed that the disease from which he died had fastened itself upon him and was not to be shaken off. For several weeks he had been confined to his bed, his friends expecting daily to learn of his death. The funeral took place Tuesday morning, at nine o’clock, from the Catholic church. Rev. P. Garrahan officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1863 and is buried in St. Benedict Cemetery.
