OBITUARY.
RICHARD TOBIN died at his residence in this city, February 1st. at the age of 78 years.
He was born in Tipperary, Ireland, and came to this country in 1852, settling at first in Elgin, Ills. Afterwards he came to Dubuque, and finally to Decorah, in 1864, where he rounded out his quiet, useful life, beloved and respected by all his acquaintances.
His funeral was held from St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, of which he was a staunch, true and valuable member and could be seen from the glowing eulogy passed on him by his pastor.
In 1865, he married Margaret Williams, and to them four children were born, all of whom died in infancy, and she alone, remains to mourn his loss.
His sorrowing widow wishes to tender her sincere thanks for the many kindnesses shown her in her bereavement. His nephew and niece, residents of Minnesota, attended the funeral.
