DIED. Daubney – At her home in this city, Monday, August 23, 1893, of heart disease. Mrs. Lucy Whitemore Daubney, wife of Wilson Daubney, in her 72d year.

Lucy Adelaide Whitemore was born in Utien, N.Y., Oct, 27th, 1821, where most of her early life was spent. In 1850 she was married to Wilson Daubney, and in 1855, they came to Iowa, and settled in Pleasant township. Although they resided for short periods in other states, their farm in this county was always retained as their home until two or three years ago, when, owing to Mrs. Daubney’s failing health, they moved to Decorah to live. Four children were born to them, three of whom – Dr. F.W. Daubney, J.W. and Miss Edith Daubney–with her husband, survive to mourn the loss of a loving mother and wife. Mrs. Daubney was a bright, cheery lady, one whom no one knew save to love and reverence, and whos acts of care and kindness denoted a true Christian character. Funeral services will be held at the residence to-morrow afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Green officiating.
