It is with much sadness for the bereaved family that we record the death of the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmons of this place, which passed away Thursday, Oct. 27th{sic}, aged nearly 9 months. Cholera infantum was the immediate cause of its death. The funeral services were held from the house Saturday afternoon, Rev. J. Hilburn officiating. Although they may mourn for their loved one they know that in Heaven’s wreath around the great white throne is their little bud of promise.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Paul who was born in Feb. 1897 and died Oct. 28, 1897. He was buried in the Burr Oak Cemetery. Note: The 27th was not Thursday.
