Mr. Chris Hankedahl, who had been suffering for many months, died of cancer of the stomach, on the 5th inst., and was buried at the Lutheran
cemetery here, yesterday. Deceased leaves a wife and four children mourning him. Mr. Hankedahl was an honest hard-working man, and had many friends in this community.

Transcriber’s Note: Calmar Lutheran Cemetery shows the name spelled Haukedahl and that he was born April 26, 1854.
