—The REPUBLICAN last week failed to note the death of John Kovarik, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kovarik, of Spillville. The young man was highly gifted as a musician, and his early death is a grievous disappointment to his parents and friends who anticipated a bright future for him.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1872 and died July 2, 1897. He is buried in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
