DIED.
BOTSFORD—At her home In Decorah, Iowa, June 2lst, 1897, MRS. ELIZABETH BOTSFORD, aged 77 years and 29 days.
Elizabeth Skinner was born in Fayette Co., Penn., May 22d, 1820, where she resided until the spring of 1854, at which time she, with her husband, moved to Iowa, where she has since resided, At the age of seventeen she was married to Mr. Thomas J. Thorpe, who died in the hospital at Vickburg during the late war. She was the mother of five children by her late husband, four of whom are yet living. She was converted to Christianity in her youth and united with the Baptist church, of which church she has ever remained n consistent member. In 1881 she was married to Mr. Martin Botsford and with her husband moved to this city, living here until separated by death. On Thursday, June 17th, she was stricken with paralysis, never regaining consciousness. The funeral was from her late home on Wednesday, June 23d, and she was buried in the city cemetery. She leaves a husband, one brother, and four children, with other relatives to mourn her loss. Most of them were present at her funeral.
