Last Saturday night Frank, a son of J. B. Macal, near Fort Atkinson, died from diphtheria. The lad was about 13 years old, a bright fellow who will be greatly missed. The other son who was down with the same disease is improving. Later—J. B. Macal and another of his children are down with the disease.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Aug. 12, 1884 and died June 19, 1897. He is buried in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
